62 – ggnore:play ~ Army of the Damned (Part 8)

BEWARE: the audio quality of this episode is garbage because of a technical issue. Future episodes will not sound like this.

We continue our playthrough of Army of the Damned with the siege of Shadowgrange.

This episode is the first of the “rebranded” ggnore:plays, which are very lightly edited actual play episodes. It’s just us playing with a mic in the middle of the table.

If you don’t want to listen to what’s essentially raw audio, we’ll have a ggnore:cap episode later in the week (should be Friday) that summarizes and discusses what happened in that week’s actual play.

61 – ggnore:hype ~ Ben Milton, Michael Prescott, Nioh, Horizon Zero Dawn

This week we introduce a new weekly episode type: ggnore:hype, in which we talk about interesting stuff going on DIY/OSR D&D circles and, after that, anything else we want to chat about. Generally videogames, movies, and TV.

If you don’t know, Google Plus is the home base for high-value RPG content and the people who make it. Get on there and search around some. Daniel reads this stuff compulsively and will highlight a few items each week.

If you are interested in that sort of thing and not necessarily in actual play (our ggnore:plays), we’ve separated our episodes so you can just listen to what you want.

In addition to actual play episodes, we’ll also be putting out ggnore:caps, which are TL;DR versions of our actual plays. In the recap episodes, we’ll review what just happened in our session and perhaps reflect insightfully thereon.

60 – Army of the Damned (Part 7)

To make up for our tardiness over the last couple of weeks, here’s a bonus early episode that gets us right to the beginning of the zombie horde siege. The siege will begin in earnest next week.

59 – Army of the Damned (Part 6)

We begin the tower defense arc of the module, click to listen.

Not a ton going on in this shorter episode, just setting up (what Daniel expects is) the next chapter of the module, but the episode after this one should be nonstop action.

Daniel cut out 2/3 of the content because it was mostly just talking to shopkeepers for some reason? But there’s a quest that we accepted during that cut content:

Quest: get some special flower thingies from up north.

So when we refer obliquely to flowers, that’s what that’s about.

Funny story…

Apologies for the delay in getting episode 59 out.

It’s really a funny story, a captivating drama of miscommunication and human frailty.

We have, for instance, a freshly and inadvertently remastered version of episode 57, instead of an episode 59.

But, uh, check back Monday.

For real this time.

55 – Army of the Damned (Part 2)

Last time on gg no re:

We (the inquisition) traveled to an edgy land with vampires and stuff, looking for a girl who might know where the angel Avacyn might be. Angel-chan’s absence has been causing problems in the realm.

Along the way we met a sketchy weirdo who gave us holy bling (the arm of the faithful) and points us to Shadowgrange, the town where our contact resides.

Before long, an encounter on the road! Skeleton-bat-balls! But we #rekt them and carried on.

In This Episode
