We review Army of the Damned, an indie 5e module that takes place in the Magic: the Gathering setting of Innistrad, which is basically Ravenloft.
The blood hunter class we used you can find @ drivethrurpg.
You can grab the Army of the Damned module we’re playing from reddit.

The necro-alchemist Siegfried turns himself invisible, and we fight him to conclude the module. Asa talks about VR. And Ava recites Time Cube scripture.

The theme of this ep is maps. A piece of hexkit creation software, and the works of two great mappers. See below for details.
Hex Kit is a beautiful hexmap creation program from Cecil Howe. The Kickstarter is over, but the commercial website isn’t up yet. It looks excellent. Trailer below:
Randy M has been making unique fantasy maps for a while now, usually incorporating massive verticality. Check out his patreon and g+ profile.
Although he likely needs no introduction, we discuss Dyson Logos‘s majorly useful mapping resources. Check out his blog here.
We discussed Legion, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Daredevil, and Luke Cage. We also talked about some animation issues in the new Mass Effect:

Lots of interesting stuff to talk about this week: Stay Frosty, a stylish illustrator, some movement bragging, and a couple D&D utilities. Check below the image for details and links.
Stay Frosty is Casey Garske’s ode to Aliens, Starship Troopers, etc. The blurb:
GAME OVER, MAN
The bugs are through the perimeter, the gates of hell have opened, the mothership is landing, and the Captain’s brain got sucked out…there’s only one thing you can do, Marine…Stay Frosty.Stay Frosty is an OSR game of future marines versus whatever the universe can throw at them. Use these rules to play games in the style of your favorite military sci-fi movies and video games. PC’s will have to balance escalating tension and dwindling resources against staying Frosty to complete their missions.
Daniel’s read it and written up a scenario overview and had a blast doing it. We’ll probably record a session of our playthrough on the show.
Grab it from drivethrurpg/rpgnow here.
Arlin Ortiz is a fantastic artist who makes beautiful overland maps, as well as character-ful monster illustrations.
Check out his map blog, patreon, website, and print gallery.
Trollsmyth had an OSR brag-piece we enjoyed over at his blog.
This web app generates spicy D&D character concepts in one click.
Digital Dungeon Master (not Digital Foundry, as we say in the show) has a bunch of pregen 5e D&D character sheets in PDF for your convenience.

Releasing this one a bit ahead of schedule. We’re trying to clear out our backlog of actual plays so that we’ll be as current as possible.
We’re down a couple players for this one. So you can listen to Ava, Henryk, and Sjurd venture north following the siege to track down the source of the necro weirdness.

This is the first of our ggnore:cap episodes, in which we give you the TL;DR of the big (and mostly raw) actual play episode we put out this week.
If you’re interested in a particular module (or one of our upcoming homebrew campaigns) but don’t want to listen to 2-4 hours of AP, you can just check out these recap episodes instead.
In the recaps, we’ll review & reflect on the session in every respect: the quality of the source material, table/player/rules dynamics, all that stuff.
In this episode, Tim and Daniel discuss the siege of Shadowgrange from our continuing actual play of the indie 5e module set in the Magic: the Gathering universe of Innistrad: Army of the Damned.
The blood hunter class we used you can find @ drivethrurpg.

BEWARE: the audio quality of this episode is garbage because of a technical issue. Future episodes will not sound like this.
We continue our playthrough of Army of the Damned with the siege of Shadowgrange.
This episode is the first of the “rebranded” ggnore:plays, which are very lightly edited actual play episodes. It’s just us playing with a mic in the middle of the table.
If you don’t want to listen to what’s essentially raw audio, we’ll have a ggnore:cap episode later in the week (should be Friday) that summarizes and discusses what happened in that week’s actual play.
